pj 01I have worked around forklifts in warehouse environments for several years since 1997, during this time ensuring safety to staff was always paramount. I was put through my reach and counterbalance tests to help with the running of the warehouse. I would often work long hours during the seasonal times to ensure the smooth operation of daily operations.

Whilst working for Pets@Home I got a promotion from replenishing the warehouse to assisting with loading. The role of a loader wasn't just to load the pallets onto the vehicle but assist the transport manager and supervisors in organising loads and transport to deliver to appropriate stores.

In 2005 whilst working in the warehouse I was completing an accounts course and this led to a promotion to accounts/QC assistant which wasn't working out well, so a change of scenery was required. I started working for a van racking company, which required a level of detail and knowledge of product to ensure customers' deliveries were on time, whilst reporting any shortages of stock to the relevant people.

In 2009 I was made redundant and worked as an agency worker for a company called CLF before becoming a forklift instructor for FT4U. I was offering training all over the country on various items of MHE.

In 2019 I applied for the job with Milton Keynes College to deliver forklift training to prisoners ready for when they got released giving them a better opportunity to rehabilitate.

pj 02After going through Chemo mid-way last year, I decided I needed to change my course and set about setting up MHE training for myself.

Outside of work I enjoy spending time with family and love to take time to enjoy nature. I like to go for walks in the countryside, camping and sitting there watching the world go by. I also like to help others out whenever I can, I support charities anyway I can and believe being kind and positive is a great way to live.
